沈黙・孤独・秘密 アール・ブリュット(生の芸術)
この3つのキーワードというのは現在開催中のアール・ブリュット(生の芸術)と云う展覧会(近江八幡 ボーダレス・アートミュージアム NO-MA)の中で語られている言葉です。
うまく本質をいいあてた言葉で、この人たちは表現することだけで、社会に対して何一つ語ることが出来ないのに、作品そのものだけで深く人間の魂へ問いかける作品を提示している。このことがとてもさわやかで気持ちがいいと云ったようなことを、この間永田収さんとSANPOの2人展の時に語ったことです。
沈黙とは自分の言葉でしゃべることが出来ない結果が沈黙に。孤独とはひとりで人との共通項のない位置にいてしかも誰もマネの出来ないポジションにいる。秘密とは誰にもその作品の生まれてくる根元を語っていない。このようにして黙々と作品を作り続けているにもかかわらず、作品そのものの魅力は反対に、沈黙も孤独も秘密も全部さらけ出しているうそのない世界。2008年3月26日 MEMOより
Three Keywords
Silence, Solitude, Secrecy Art Brut (Raw Art)
These three keywords are explored in the exhibition, “Art Brut (Raw Art),” held currently at the Borderless Art Museum NO-MA in Omi-Hachiman City.
These words capture the essence well; though these artists only express and speak nothing to society, their artwork poses deep questions to the human spirit. This is very refreshing and pleasing; I talked about this with Osamu Nagata the other day when we had a two-person show “SANPO”.
Silence is a result of being unable to speak your own words. Solitude is staying in a position alone without anything in common with other people, and moreover where no one else can copy. Secrecy is to not reveal the roots of the artwork to anyone. They continue to create work silently in this way; nevertheless, the attraction of the artwork itself is a world with no lies, revealing all: silence, solitude, and secrecy.
